Framed Print of Reise durch das Sauerland
Die Möhnetalsperre wurde 1908 -1913 erbaut und staut 130 Millionen cbm Wasser. Die Sperrmauer ist aus Muschelkalkstein hergestellt. 637 m lang, 40 m hoch, oben 6 m, unten jedoch 30, 5 m breit. In den beiden Türmen sind Feinnivellements, die bis zu 1/10 mm jede Veränderung anzeigen, die in dem Mauerwerk vor sich geht. Bei Delecke und bei Körbecke überspannt je eine mächtige, steinerne Brücke den Möhnesee. Die bei Körbecke ist die größte bisher in Deutschland gebaute. Sie hat 513, 2 m Länge und 18 Korbbögengewölbe voin je 25, 4 m Spannweite. Die Delecker Brücke ist 448, 8 m lang, 8 m breit und besteht aus 16 Bogen von je 25, 4 m Spannweite. Mit den Anschlußdämmen an beiden Ufern beträgt die Länge des Baus über 650 m Länge. Der Ausgleichsweiher faßt 400.000 cbm Wasser. Auf dem Grund des Möhnesees liegen die Ortschaften Günne und Drüggelte, die weiter nordwärts nach Soest wieder aufgebaut worden sind. Die Sperre dient einem vierfachen Zweck: 1. Regulierung des Wasserstandes, 2. Speisung des Mittellandkanals, 3. Beseitigung der Hochwassergefahr und 4. Erzeugung elektrischen Stromes.

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
