Eine stolze Mutter steht vor uns, breit, selbstbewußt, stolz auf das Ihre, stolz auf die Kinder zu ihren Füßen. Manchen bunten Zierrat tragen diese Frauen am Körper, aber an den Beinen derbe Holzschuhe. Das ist sinnbildlich für das ganze holländische Volk. Es hat sich in vielen Künsten an die erste Stelle geschwungen, hat Meisterwerke geschaffen, die ihresgleichen suchen, es hat aber nie den festen Boden unter den Füßen verloren. Deshalb ist es für uns Deutsche, die wir uns gerne gehaltlosen Träumen hingeben, sehr angebracht, einmal in Holland zu wandern und zu reisen. Wir werden mit einem großen Erlebnisschatz bereichert heimkehren. Ihnen allen, die Sie durch diesen Bildvortrag eine kleine Vorstellung von den malerischen Niederlanden gewonnen haben, sein nun die persönliche Erfahrung alles dessen gewünscht, was Sie hier nur bildlich gesehen haben vorausgesetzt, daß Sie sich auch schon in der deutschen Heimat genug umgesehen haben, denn nur dann soll man ins Ausland gehen, wenn man die eigene Heimat genügend kennt. Wenn es aber einmal über die deutsche Grenze gehen soll, dann möge Ihnen Wandern und Streifen in den Niederlanden eine rechte Herzensfreude machen.

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
